Breathing is a magical, simple and so necessary action for the existence of our body, in which we collect oxygen from our environment and release carbon dioxide from the body. By virtue of being an automatic and natural action of the body, breathing does not require us to pay attention or effort, but unlike other automatic actions like digestion, it can be controlled and change patterns of action through awareness and practice.

Simple daily breathing exercises can completely change the way we breathe and as a result create a radical change in the way the body functions, strengthens itself and copes with life experiences.

There is a wide range of evidence that proper breathing affects our mental and physical state, coping with stress and anxiety, and a marked improvement in a variety of problems in the day-to-day functioning of the body.

Transformational Breathwork

Transformational Breathwork is a process of self-healing when the power is in the hands of the patient. It is a treatment technique that uses the body’s natural ability to breathe and treats both the physical and emotional aspects. The breathwork is based on breathing practices from a variety of traditions. It combines individual work along with guided practices that enable learning and release with the help of long and deep breathing processes, all in full accordance with the patient’s abilities.

The practice enables the existence of very important processes:

  1. The respiratory system – correcting abnormal breathing patterns and training the respiratory muscles, especially the diaphragm muscle.
  2. Emotional release – release of unresolved traumas from the past that affect our point of reference on the world and ultimately affect our physical body as well.
  3. Regulating the nervous system – the breathwork uses the body’s natural mechanism to lower the internal rhythm and bring balance back to the body.

A combination of correct daily breathwork while in-depth work with breathing exercises can change patterns of behaviour and thinking and put the body into a deep process of self-healing.
